Rap sensation Swipey has taken over the mix tape market and has “Generation X” shaking and nodding their heads to his phenomenal lyrics. The young ladies can’t get enough of him and the studios have him on constant rotation in high demand, producing track after track – proving he is talented in his own right and can hold his own among the best.
Born Douglas Brooks from the southeast corridor of Washington, DC, he made his mark in the streets at an early age and graduated from high school with a 3.0 GPA. He always knew finishing school was his main priority, but becoming the rap game’s newest “rock star,” as he so eloquently puts it, was following very close behind.
Swipey is currently on independent label, Men Of Principles Production, otherwise known as M.O.P3. Under the professional guidance of his label’s CEO Kevin Baldwin, he has dropped hit after hit, two of which have earned him a spot among the best, “Best Friend” and “Dirty,” along with a newly released video titled “No Talking.” He has had the opportunity to tour with several talented acts, such as Lil’ Durk and Shy Glizzy, and has worked with Producer Jazze Pha in the studio on numerous tracks that are sure to be monumental.
Recently Swipey surprised several high-schoolers at Potomac High School’s senior prom, courtesy of radio station WPGC 95.5, where he put on an impromptu performance and had the crowd going wild.
This young man has no doubt become a fan favorite and a star in his own right. I am sure we will be seeing and hearing a lot from Swipey in the years to come. He’s young, full of energy and he’s just getting started!
