Ustyle Magazine had the pleasure of attending the fabulous, red carpet Grand Opening of DC Beauty Couture Beauty Supply Store, located at 7758 Marlboro Pike in Forestville, Maryland.
The owners of this sprawling establishment, Laura Foos, Sharisse Martin, Tracey Robinson and Cara McGowan-Gaskins left nothing out while planning the release of their blessing to this community, not to mention the ladies looked amazing! They hired event coordinators, caterers, bartenders, photographers, the music was provided by DJ MIM, a live performance from the handsome Keith Angelo and energetic celebrity host Jakima Dyson of Bad Boy Entertainment’s hit group Total kept the crowd hyped. Everyone was genuinely excited and offered them their well wishes and support.
The day was filled with beauty, networking, fashion and Fabulousity. It started with a prayerful pink ribbon cutting that welcomed in the public. Once entered you were met by the 4NetworkingChicks Radio Show and Ms. Givonshy of the PSA Lady Radio Show taking pictures and doing live interviews. There were some hot runway models showcasing some hot hair, accessories and fashions from Beauty Couture, along with A’ La Mode Babe Boutique, “TK” Totally Kima, models from Mini ME and my favorite runway model came from the absolute cutest doggie model who was fashioned by Pooch Styles Pet Grooming owned by Ms. Kyonna T. Fields-Brown.
Ms. Ty Cobb, make up guru and Executive Producer and Creator of The Real Make-Up Artist’s of DC gave a very informative make-up demo where I even walked away with some great make-up tips.
There was music from DJ MIM and live vocals from singer Keith Angelo who had the ladies swaying and swooning. The highlight of my evening was the awards presentations. One award was presented to Ms. Mia Wright; three time ovarian cancer survivor, whom I was so proud of once hearing her story, seeing her amazing spirit and what she has accomplished with her organization, “WE CAN-CER VIVE”. As the President and Founder of this much needed service especially in the African American community they provide aid and assistance to those dealing with cancer and their family members from home care to help with rent. You name it and they provide it. If you would like to join their cause and or offer donations please contact them at www.we-can-cervive.org or for more information they can be reached at email@example.com.
